Checking In…

It’s been a great week of healthy eating and exercise…I never stopped my P90x3 workouts (we are starting week 6 tomorrow) and back to getting my steps up and eating a more reasonable portion of food…sometimes the food is so good I almost inhale it…LOL I will say I am way better at my food control and learning to say no to it when I know I am full.

  • Weighed 115.8
  • Bodyfat 25%

  • Weighed at 115.2
  • Bodyfat 25%

So since Monday Morning I lost 3.2 lbs and 1.5% body fat…I didn’t do measurements I just felt I needed to reset and get myself back on track before my eating and drinking started to control me…I was at 120 lbs one day last week so guess that is a number I didn’t care to see on scale and knew if I didn’t get back on track I’d be feeling sluggish and with summer here I don’t have time for lazy 🙂

Eating healthy doesn’t have to taste bad…it may take a little extra time to prepare but in the end your body will thank you for it.

How did your healthy week go?  Did you get a walk in, bike, added a healthy meal to your day?

I have a new challenge group starting July 6th…message me for more info.

Day 3…extreme day

So today is my extreme day for meals… So I am having an extra carb, some fruits, seeds, and healthy fat…

I am not hungry for the most part… Just miss the carbs; I tend to go overboard with them so it’s good to take a break from them.

I love this plan… So easy even I can follow it LOL… So you know what that means? You can too. :p

My weight today was 115.2 >116
Body fat was unchanged.

For my lunch today I am having some Indian food chili chicken with rice

Our work out today was eccentric lower; we stream our workouts but Beachbody on demand was down for maintenance so we downloaded the guide and did the workout based on the book rather than no workout at all… We’ve changed so much in the past we would of walked away and said oh well and not done anything… Not anymore:)

How are you doing with your portion control… Are you on track to your health & fitness goals?

If you are stuck contact me…I can help you get going on a new path 🙂

Have a good day.

Day 2 on track

Apart from smacking my head at 3:30 this morning… My day of clean eating went great…

My breakfast yesterday was Shakeology, then 1-2 hrs later sweet potato and 2 boiled eggs… Today it’s Shakeology then 1-2 hrs later egg white and sweet potato….

Today I am having pretty much the same foods… Learn meats and veggies.  Doesn’t seem exciting but they taste good and help with keeping me at a proper weight… Giving me more energy.

Yesterday wasn’t too bad but I find when I get bored I pick… So as long as I keep busy I’ll be good.

Down 2.4lbs > 116
Body fat  down .5% > 26%

Best program ever… If you think it might be for you send me a message… You are worth it!

Getting Back on Track

Today I’m getting my portion control and healthy eating back on track.    I did this before and I still have the tools to do it again. That’s the thing I love about these programs…the investment is really lifelong knowledge.  They give you tools, and show you how to use them and you have them forever.

The workouts are a pointless if I am just going to stuff myself (not always good food) and drink wine foolishly.

My meals are planned for the week and I’m going to get it done 🙂

Weight 118.4
Body fat 26.5%

Meals today – Shakeology, lean meats, veggies, eggs, sweet potato, cottage cheese…

Following the countdown to competition plan…I love it.

If I can do it so can you…what are you waiting for!

Have a good one 🙂

Our 21 Day Fix Extreme Results

I realized I never posted about our experience with the 21 Day Fix Extreme…when we were finishing up the last 3 days of the program I had cold that eventually turned to a sinus cold that lasted for almost a month…I did however manage to finish the program.

I love the workouts on this program…the pilates one takes a little bit of getting used to but once you get the proper resistance band it isn’t that bad.  My husband is quite a bit taller than me he had more trouble the band he had was to heavy of resistance…I think it was a 30 lb and the program calls for a 15 lb resistance.

My favourite work out which I thought would be the one I didn’t like was the Plyo workout…awesome.  I switched where I needed to for modified vs non-modified workout…modifier workout is not that bad actually.

I did the countdown to competition plan meal plan.  I didn’t find it too bad after the first couple days.  Brian did the maintaining current weight program (wasn’t in it for weight loss just to maintain his current weight)

Overall I am happy with this program and I will do it again. I love the results and I know a few rounds of doing it (probably just the extreme meal plan not the countdown to completion plan every time) you could look pretty ripped.

Our results…Not bad for 21 days of effort!

Berry oatmeal topping

  • Melt a 1 Tbsp of coconut oil in a frying pan
  • Wash, core and chop one med- large size apple into bit size pieces
  • Gently place apples in frying pan and cook until they start to soften
  • Add 1 cup of fresh or frozen berries: I use mixed berries from Costco – Blackberries, Raspberries , Cherries, Blueberries and Pomegranate seeds.
  • Tbsp of unsweetened coconut (optional)

Yields around 4 servings

Serve it over 1/4 cup of cooked oatmeal

What’s Your Why?

I guess in my last post I realized that my why for healthy lifestyle changed…in the beginning I was just tired of people constantly asking me if I was expecting (people I didn’t know as well as coworkers…) so that was my beginning of why I started this journey to a healthier lifestyle.

My why is now to be as healthy as I can be…if I was to ever get sick and wasn’t healthy (or somewhat healthy) that there is a chance I could never recover; which unfortunately I was headed in that direction (eating excessive, drinking and no and I mean no activity)…I don’t want to be in that situation…I am sure no one wants to be in that situation ever or see people go through it…

With all things something gets you started and your reasons for doing it change…that’s the cycle of life.  In the beginning I guess it was more image but now it’s changed to a better lifestyle for the future.

What is your why?  Vacation, to play with your kids, run a marathon, go for walks and not be winded…
