Getting fit for Life

A little bit of culture…

This past week I headed to the Heart concert (thanks again Dave) at the metro-centre…it was awesome these girls can still rock it…felt like I was in a time warp to the ‘80s.  The only song I can think of that I wish they would have done is “All I Want to Do is Make Love to You” the first encore they came out with Led Zeppelin song “What Is And What Should Never Be” and The Who’s “Love, Reign o’er Me” (I believe it was these but could be possible that I have them mixed up)….then came back to finish the night off with another encore song “Dreamboat Annie” It was just awesome.  Makes me want to go to the Melissa Etheridge concert even more…we’ll see.

Saturday we headed to the Olympic Oval at the Halifax Commons for an afternoon skate what a beautiful afternoon…nice to see people out getting exercise and enjoying the weather.  We then headed to Neptune Theatre to see MacHomer. This one-man show was awesome; Rick Miller is hilarious he has Homer and the gang down pat.  Even with a technical glitch he was hilarious walking the audience through until the media show got back on track.  I was doubled over in laughter and had tears in my eyes I am sure I missed some of it but wow it was funny.  His finally act of “Bohemian Rhapsody” by 25 of the most annoying voices in music was over the top; he had Axel Rose down to the mark.  If you ever get the chance to see it, check it out…it is so worth it.
